New Camera

By snorkelbuddy

So I broke down and bought a new camera. I got the new Nikon Coolpix P80 with the 18x zoom. I’ve been taking lots of pictures and having a lot of fun with the zoom and macro features. I’m slowly learning about all the different settings that can be changed in each mode. My poor Olympus has been totally replaced. I should give it to the local Salvation Army, but I’m not sure that I’m ready to do that yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks/months/years… What do you think? Do you get rid of your old cameras when they are replaced by new ones, or do you hold onto them for sentimental reasons?

HI there. Cool blog. I ran into you on a FLICKR GROUP. I am bigred50 on flickr. I am looking to upgrade my S 51. Was looking at nikon D 40. Any advice? I am lookining for a rugged camera i can take on bike or hiking trips. Am in minnesota so the big island sounds great right now. I could use a way to slow down too. I used to read a lot but now i get onlline with my flickr friends and there goes half a day. I bicycle ride a lot plus cc ski and snow shoe in the winter so whats the secret to slowing down and smelling the roses or just making time for a walk or reading a book? We get caught up in the fast pace of the world. Well any ideas let me know. Read your rcpt migh try to cook it up thanks. Have a relaxing day. Don S
